"Great location within short walking distance to a variety of restaurants and bars and an incredible view of the Mississippi River. Rooms and overall facility needs some updates. Outdoor pool is very small and wasn’t clean with no towels available. Complimentary hot breakfast is a very nice amenity. With updates and a little more friendly and accommodating staff, this could be a diamond!"

"Lovely old building in need of a lot of upkeep The ceiling over the bath was actually collapsing in Room was spacious but might be time to replace bedding with a fresh rooms and discard the blanket Breakfast was a non event Toaster didn’t work staff said oh only half works Cloches were empty - they were on but no food in them Lots of confusion with our server We couldn’t find the food and she said you can only have 3 things on menu ? We asked how much to order more items and she had no idea"

"When we got into our room, we found that the air conditioning unit was leaking and the carpet around it was soaking wet and soggy. After notifying the front desk, we were moved to another room. While the second room was better, the beds were extremely firm and there was visible black mold on the bathroom ceiling. We stayed in that room despite those conditions because we had already been inconvenienced by having to move rooms. When we checked out, we informed the front desk staff again about the leaking air conditioning unit in the first room. She told us that, because of the leak, the room was not supposed to have been occupied at all. She also mentioned in passing that she would be glad when the remodel began so they would not have “these problems” anymore, which honestly made me wonder what other issues guests are dealing with that we did not see. I do not like leaving negative reviews, but this stay genuinely deserved one. No guest should be placed in a room that staff already knows should be out of service, and visible mold in a replacement room is completely unacceptable."

"I always enjoy my stay at the Clarion. Only suggesting that the housekeeper not knock on the door at 9am she did it twice. At least give us a chance to wake up. Next time I will utilize the do not disturb sign."
