"The room was good and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good too. The only negative is that check out is at 10:30, and they wanted 20 pounds to extend it to 12."

"Safe in room was not working, reported to receptionist who stated that maintenance would fix the following morning. This did not happen, safe still not working 2nd evening. Tv in room had European language channels and lesser known English terrestrial channels, but none of the main channels such as BBC, ITV, Ch4 or Skynews. BBC news was however on the large screen in reception."

"We adored our stay and wish we had more time to spend here. What a wonderful country setting in a traditional B &B. Beautiful chapel views from our room which also overlooked a sweet field with sheep. We were welcomed at the door and bid goodbye personally. "This is a gorgeous inn in a picture-perfect English village! The only issues I have is that the room for 3 people is quite inadequate in size and furnishings. A couple of hooks to hang clothes, a footstool as the only seating, no drawers and only one folding luggage rack, meaning we had to live out of suitcases on the limited floorspace. The restaurant was fabulous even though it had a very limited and expensive menu, and other options were in nearby towns. We would go back in a heartbeat if...

"Check-in and check-out were very smooth. The room was spotless and the amenities were excellent, including the well-stocked small fridge with food and snacks. The weather was exceptionally cold during our stay, and unfortunately the small heater wasn’t quite enough to keep the room comfortably warm."

"I booked through Expedia and didn't realise that even though it says the hotel has air con. That is only if you book a room with air con. Standard rooms don't have it. Our first roo. Had a meagre fan and smelt bad. However the staff were great and moved us to a room with air con and we were lucky as it was the last one! But the bathroom was not clean. Had to get people to come and clean the bath which had scummy around it at the bottom and the room door was broken and the top. I only booked...

"Good price but reflected in the extremely poor state of the rooms and particularly the bathroom. Cracked walls, lights that didn’t work, and an incredibly creaky floor. I really felt for anyone underneath us. Useful location but wouldn’t stay again."

"Already the premises give out a reassuring feeling of care and comfort. This is then corroborated by the quiet and clean rooms, warm and cosy, along with a spacious breakfast area which presents a good variety of food, replicated for the dining area. All this topped with an ample parking space. Last, but certainly not least, the caring and welcoming staff just make it a must to want to go back."

"A fantastic price for a decent sized room for 4. The bar area was nice & it was handy that food was served till quite late. The spa facilities were v basic, but for the price I feel it was worth it."
