"Beautiful, peaceful and idyllic country pub. Efficient staff, polite and helpful. Lovely rooms and very convenient location. Great menu with a variety of dishes....wonderful cheese souffle, fabulous ribeye steak. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended. "

"The Duke Hotel is truly excellent. Fantastic rooms, nicely decorated with plenty of character and a fantastic shower and coffee machine. The food and service is exceptional. A truly fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended. "

"Although I only stayed one night this was enough to understand that the owners really care for their property and this translates to the service given. They were polite and courteous and even remembered our names which is a nice touch. The food we had for dinner and breakfast was also delicious. "

"I was In the old part and it needs updating badly. Excited when I saw a spa bath in my room but bath was worn around the plug area and not appealing so wasted. Toilet was stained with brown as old. Taps on sink worn and spun round a lot before water came out. "

"Liked the property as clean and had a lovely bath. The food was good even if they forgot to put sausages on my breakfast. Very easily sorted one i spotted them missing. Great staff and a nice atmosphere. Busy but not too crowded "
