"The room, bathroom, AND the shower are probably the biggest of all the hotels where we’ve stayed in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto.
Did not feel cramped whatsoever.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Just a short walk to the Arashiyama bamboo forest. The location is perfect if you plan to visit the surrounding areas there"
"Kenji was a very nice host and his "guest house English" speaking was wonderful!! It is a perfect location if you are looking to wake up early and walk to the bamboo forest, you can be one of the first people there. Kenji also gave us recommendations of places to visit in the area that you otherwise may not have known about. "
"Excellent experience in a traditional onsen setting. They have both private and public baths to enjoy. Very beautiful hotel with amazing traditional breakfast. Arashiyama area is beautiful with many sights to take in, all within walking distance. Staff were very helpful with all our questions!"
"Wonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. "
