"Typisches englisches Frühstück. Leider waren die Pilze nur an einem Morgen gewürzt. Trinkbarer Kaffee nur gegen Aufpreis. Das können andere besser.
Dafür tolles Zimmer und gute Abendkarte."

"We have just had a wonderful stay here as my other half was doing the Great North Run.
The staff were so helpful polite and attentive.
The room was excellent spacious .really comfy beds full bathroom and had everything we needed as well as very quiet.
So now comes the restaurant........ wow just wow the food was top notch all freshly cooked and some of the best Italian we have ever had.
Portion sizes are not for the faint hearted ie great for a pre run carb load tea for my partner but so...

"All staff were excellent, super friendly and helpful, I'd booked an attic room but seeing my husband on crutches they immediately swapped us into a first floor room which I think was an upgrade as it had a huge freestanding copper bath and Chesterfield sofa as well as a king (or maybe super king) sized bed. Despite the room not having been planned for use, everything was clean and fully stocked which was impressive. Bed extremely comfy, didn't want to leave! Breakfast being included was great,...
