"This was hands down the friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and cheery. They made us feel at home and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The wait staff was exceptional as well. The food was excellent, the setting idyllic, and location walkable to The Chatsworth House! We could not wait to write a glowing review as we cannot recommend this hotel enough! We suggest you give your entire staff a raise as they were top notch and whoever hired them...

"Loved this place. The setting is beautiful as was our room. A real mixture of old and new that worked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we truly felt welcome. "Check in was no frills. We arrived half an hour before check in and was offered a room but for an extra fee. I accidentally booked the room for one person so had to pay an extra £12 for breakfast which was fair enough but on check out an additional £10 for the extra person which I thought was unfair."

"Lovely room and facilities but why charge for car park if you’re staying, appreciate it’s near the airport but there must be a way of controlling access without penalising guests who have already paid to stay."

"Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. "
