"The hotel was modern and clean. The location worked well for us, as close to the metro to get to the harbour and city attractions, close to a supermarket, and close to a rail station to get direct to Sintra and other attractions outside the city. We booked a top floor suite with a patio balcony. The downside was that although it had a fridge and microwave, there was no plates, glasses or cuttlery. Only paper cups were allowed as the hotel was still awaiting approval for these in the room. Hence...

"I love Locke hotels. Having a kitchen and washer in the room makes long trips abroad so much nicer. Their properties are very hip and have all the amenities you need for a city stay. "Main issue with this hotel was that while it mentions Air Conditioning, the AC gets turned off in the evening around 8PM. When it's cool outside and we can open the windows it's very noisy, but manageable. However, we had a few nights where it was very hot and the staff could not turn the AC back on. Additionally, our daughter was in a room with two teammates (she was there for a sport tournament) and the staff locked the patio door (only window) for liability reasons.
