"Was a bit disappointed with our stay here. I’d read that the rooms were a bit dated, but it was rundown in aspects as well. The window in our bathroom had a broken hinge, the towels were old and tattered, the faucet discoloured, but the worst part was the bugs in the room. There was an ant (?) infestation - they’d burrowed a few holes into the bathroom doorframe and they were coming in and out of them and we found them in various places around the room. There were other various bugs we found...

"Everything was amazing from the room to the pool and the breakfast was excellent as well. We liked it so much we extended out stay."

"It is a very beautiful property with amazing views! The staff was very friendly. They were constantly cleaning. The food was great and reasonably priced. (We have had a hard time with finding good food for a good price in the previous places we stayed. The beach was incredible! It is a a tough drive on gravel would recommend a 4 wheel drive with good tires. We had a small car and had to go very slow. There is three creeks that need to be crossed we were okay because it is the dry hot season."

"Our stay at Hotel Amira was beyond expectations and exceptional. The location and the staff, especially the hotel manager, went above and beyond to make our stay more than comfortable. The location was great. Several choices of restaurants nearby and close to beaches. Having stayed at many places in Costa Rica I would highly recommend Hotel Amira as a great place to stay."

"Desde momento que llegamos tuvimos un trato muy diferente en comparación con los extranjeros, en la recepción un trato tosco y poco informativos, en el restaurante demasiado tiempo espera para ser atendidos y las bebidas nunca llegaron algunos de los saloneros nos ignoraban como sino nos vieran, no había agua embotellada para los nacionales, el control televisor no funcionaba tratamos reportarlo a la recepción donde normalmente se reporta y el teléfono tampoco funcionaba cuando fuimos nos...

"Outstanding staff and amenties."

"Gracias a Dios que solo habíamos reservado 1 noche en esta propiedad. Cuando llegamos a hacer check in alrededor de las 3pm todo estaba bien. Alrededor de las 5pm se fue la luz en la propiedad. Pensamos que esto iba a ser pasajero sin embargo la luz no regresó hasta el día siguiente alrededor de las 10am. Es importante mencionar que las otras propiedades de alrededor si contaban con luz. Al estar sin luz por casi 12 horas la comida que teníamos en el refrigedor se puso mala. Claramente no había...

"The room was in the basement with no hot water, small, and dark. The pool was the size of a large bathtub, and all small clean little prison compound. It would of suffice for a night or two, for about a 1/4 of the price i paid. But at $160 a night, it sucked. Worst hotel.com place ive ever stayed in Costa Rica."

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"We had a wonderful time in Viilla #8. The staff were friendly, the property was well kept, the rooms were clean and had everything we needed to be able to cook in the villa. The beach and stores were in walking distance (great location!). We loved our outdoor space, where we ate, read on the hammock or hung out in the sitting area. Thank you! "Lovely room overlooking farmers field. Private gated parking. Nice pool, and great breakfast. "

"Extremely secure and secluded. Villa to villa distance is quite far and we could not see or hear anyone else. Grounds are very large, beach is pretty much private but you should know it’s a bit of a walk from some of the villas around to the restaurant and beach. Private pool was very nice and overall good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and very easy to communicate with, 10/10 for the staff! "
