"Really well situated for the Poole Harbour area. The quay is about a one minute walk and there are many bars and restaurants with a 5 minute walk. The hotel itself is in a charming old property and has a lovely outdoor terrace area for eats and drinks"

"The Haven is situated in an enviable position however the overall impression of the hotel comes across as quite tired and a little dated. The shower was very poor with a weak stream going from hot to cold. We were woken in the morning at 6.30 to the very noisy laundry lorry collecting and dropping off. To add to this our sleep had already been interrupted due to the fire alarm going off at midnight, no fire but unexplained. Staff were polite and dealt with a housekeeping issue efficiently. ...

However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. We ate both nights in the pub. The food is good but very pricey. On our 2nd night we both had a special which was gammon, 1egg, chips, pinapple and piccalily. "Have stayed at here a few times. Good location and if you want to use public transport, there's a bus stop right outside. You don't need to venture very far for a good meal (downstairs!) and breakfast served is made to order. This is our go to place to stay for convenience for access to beach, buses to Swanage and nice walks!"

"The hotel is dated and tired beyond the public spaces. Friendly staff. Good location onto the beach. Good breakfast. Pool area very unappealing. Be aware the harbour view room also looks over the large car park."
