Amazing room for myself, husband and daughter on the sofa bed. Was there for her 21st birthday and got nothing in terms of freebies for celebrating it there. Suite was superb. Nice slippers and water bottles to keep as a souvenir. In a nice quiet area but avoid Copenhagen over new year. Their fireworks start at 8am on the day and finish at 6am New Year’s Day. A bit of a rave opposite the hotel till 530 in the morning but otherwise an amazing stay.

I LOVED this charming “eco” hotel! I picked it almost at random (last-minute trip, didn’t know Copenhagen), because it was next to green space, and I loved everything about it so much that I stayed in two more Guldsmedens in the following weeks. Nice staff, beautiful rooms, great natural products (essential-oil lotions etc.), fabulous Scandinavian breakfast. The location was perfect for me: calm but not too far away from anything for walking. I’ll definitely stay there again next time I’m in town. (…and I didn’t even try the spa or the restaurant….) <3
