"The location is great, within blocks of 16th Street Mall and right in downtown Denver, Ball Arena was only 7 minutes away for us as we were staying overnight for a concert event. We travel quite a bit and this would be top five best hotels for us. I already knew about the valet situation and had decided to pay the $64 for them to park my car and have in and out privileges versus paid street parking. They didn't force anything I just told them at the desk that I wanted it. I didn't have a deposit charged, you can get food and beverages at their little store and then just pay for it at the front desk. Check in was simple and all of the stuff is super sweet. We had a ninth floor accessible room which was immaculate and extremely spacious. The view was nice and I don't know if we were just super exhausted but it was very quiet overnight. In the later morning I heard a closet door opening in another room but that was it. I didn't do breakfast there but they had breakfast sandwiches available for purchase at 10:00 that were pretty good as it was after the breakfast buffet time. Overall 5 out of 5 stars and will definitely stay again because we are often in Denver for medical appointments and I've talked to the teens and this is a favorite hotel out of the ones we've stayed at in Denver. "The overnight rate for the valet is $59, so don't be surprised like I was. Public parking is across the street, but I didn't want to use it at night. The valet called me three times at 7 a.m. to ask if I had the key to my car: I couldn't get to the phone quickly enough to answer the first two times. I had left the key with the valet, so the call was totally unnecessary and totally unwelcome at 7 a.m. The air conditioning unit went on and off every five minutes all night no matter what temperature I set it at. I was in Denver for a medical procedure and need my sleep more than usual, but was awake most of the night from the on-and-off a.c. I have never stayed at a Hyatt with one smaller and softer pillow than the others on the bed. It was like sleeping with a bed roll for a pillow. The location is downtown, so if you aren't used to traffic noise, you're unlikely to get a good night's sleep unless the a.c. is running constantly - not on and off at five-minute intervals. Won't stay there again."
