"Charming historic country pub draped in wisteria at this time of year. Our room was in a modern courtyard which blended very well with the original building. Room clean and well planned. Excellent breakfast - nice thick bacon and delicious sausages. "

"After meeting our friends and spending an evening in Cambridge we returned to the crown and punchbowl for a night cap before bed and and found the bar was shut up and all staff had gone home. It was 10.45pm. So our evening ended quite abruptly. Our room which was on the first floor, was a little on the small side, with only a skyline window, and unfortunately the blind didn't keep the light out, so it was very bright at 5am. "Ideal for a 1 night stay. May need to explain that when they say ‘breakfast included’, its a basket including cereals, croissants, biscuits and yoghurt. Not actually a hot breakfast or a breakfast menu in the pub. Lovely staff. Nice and clean room."
