"I very rarely post a bad review; I normally don't post a review at all if I haven't liked it. However, we booked The Croft based on the number of 5* reviews it had. On a positive, the location of this B&B is perfect - really close to the High Street. However, we've stayed in a lot of places, both higher and lower end, depending on our requirements, and I'm sorry to say that this is probably one of the worst places we've stayed at. The room and en-suite were possibly the smallest we've ever...

"I received a very warm welcome on arriving which was fabulous after a long work day. As I was shown to my room I could clearly see how clean and tidy the property was. My room was super clean and had everything I needed for a relaxing evening. After a great nights rest I was greeted at breakfast by the owners which was very pleasant and confirmed my decision for this to be my regular place to stay when I am around for work. Thank you both for such a fantastic welcome and stay, see you soon."

"Lovely, comfortable rooms. Very helpful in accommodating my late check-in."

"Room was clean but basic and quite small for a double. Hot water in shower was inconsistent changing from hot to cool and back Lovely gardens and views"

"Excellent stay we had Such a great setting with glorious views Ascetically pleasing and a lovely welcoming young family Thank you x"

"Perfect overnight and welcoming stay and fabulous breakfast"

"Breakfast was two doors away and was chaos, and we were relieved not to have been booked in for more breakfasts. The room was ok but the ambiance was dismal."

"Only stopped for one night which was trouble free. On arrival taken to room which was well kept and very nice. Staff were friendly, would stay again"

"Nice place but the room I had was next door to a nightclub. Friday and Saturday night were really noisy. So much so that I asked to move rooms on the Saturday. To be fair this was not a problem for the staff who accommodated my request. Other than the noise late at night, no issues."

"Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was good. Sadly Expedia does not include information about the live music at the Malthouse, so we were unprepared for the volume in our room immediately above the music which went on until about 12.30a.m. Not surprisingly, this rather spoiled our otherwise enjoyable stay."
