"We stayed three nights with the family, two kids, and had a really good time. The staff was great, friendly and helpful the whole stay. The property is very well maintained, clean rooms, beautiful pools and a great beach. The only thing that was not great was the food, it was just okay for this level of resort. Everything else was excellent and we would definitely come back."

"Beautiful Property, Great Service, But Not Quite 5-Star We recently stayed at Secrets Puerto Vallarta and overall had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The property is beautiful, clean, and the staff is incredibly hospitable and attentive. The lobby has gorgeous views, and the grounds are very well maintained. That said, I’m not sure I would consider this a true 5-star experience. After checking in, we were handed off to “VIP Handlers,” who are essentially sales representatives trying to get guests into a two-hour presentation for their “vacation club,” which felt like a glorified timeshare. We had just traveled, were tired, and clearly said we wanted to get to our room. Despite that, we experienced a very persistent, high-pressure sales pitch and had to say NO several times before we could leave. It was not the welcome we were hoping for. Our room was nice, clean, comfortable, and a little dated. Honestly, cleanliness matters more to me than having the newest furnishings, so that wasn't a major issue. The biggest disappointment was the food. The resort promotes its dining as top-notch, but that wasn't our experience. We’d give the food a C+ overall. Despite those shortcomings, we had an amazing time relaxing, enjoying the pools, having drinks, and taking in the beautiful surroundings. We would absolutely recommend Puerto Vallarta, but based on our experience, Secrets has some room for improvement before I’d consider it a 5-star property."
