"This is our go-to place to stay when visiting our boys at Iowa State. It is clean, spacious, and close to campus. The rooms are very nice- the bedding, lighting, bathroom, etc."
"I always like to stay at Iowa House when I'm in Ames. The location is excellent, the breakfast always delicious, and the self-serve aspect of the house works really well. The common spaces are comfortable and nicely appointed, bringing back that ISU vibe with mid-century decor and oak treatments."
"Surprisingly, the bed was comfortable. It was great to have a kitchenette in my room. The staff was professional and friendly. Overall I had a good visit"
"New property with a super comfortable bed/bedding. Lavender/Eucalyptus shampoo/Conditioner in shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent!! Mini waffles, bagels, mini egg bites, and good gravy. The kids used the small pool and warmed up outside in the tiny courtyard. It was a slow time of year, so we had the pool to ourselves. There is a fire pit table in the front with seating. "
"We enjoyed staying here which was conveniently located near the highway (but far enough so you don't hear the noise), restaurants, and the town. The rooms were nice and clean which included a full fridge, microwave, small stove, dishwasher, coffee pot and kitchen supplies. The bed was firm, and pillows were great (at least to us). There was plenty of room to spread out to put your clothes / things in closet. Only thing that they didn't have is a room safe which would've been nice to have....
"Really in the middle of nowhere. Never will come back to Iowa but thank you for the pleasant experience and help. Couldn’t get a Lyft to save my life from there. If I do for any reason end up in AMES, IA I will definitely stay at mircotel. Thank you so much Trooper Joseph Long. This was a fun trip. See you soon!!"
"The rooms were clean and neat. I like the "no carpet" rooms. They feel cleaner. The water was hot and i liked having a refrigerator in my room. The breakfast was good and the people were friendly"
