My stay at this hotel was great, staff very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a place where to relax after a busy day.
Lovely new property! Chose this place because it was close to where friends of mine live -- it's in a suburban neighborhood of brand-new little mansions, older family homes, and somewhat too many vacant parcels of land no doubt being held by speculators riding the Thai real estate bubble . . . but I digress. Those desiring a quiet and pretty hotel need look no farther. You'll almost never see a tuk-tuk or a sorngthaew, and taxis in Chiang Mai are few and far between, but if you don't have a car, no worries -- Uber and Grabcar drivers are thick on the ground, and cost less than taxis anyway. No breakfast service, although there's a small basket of goodies in the room (e.g., instant noodles) for which there's no minibar charge! -- and there is a food delivery service. But with a host of shamelessly cheap and shamelessly good noodle restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity, why bother? Just one thing to beware of: Liquid hand soap and shampoo are kept in cute little ceramic vases, and I was a bit worried about dropping one while in the shower, so make sure your hands aren't soapy while handling them . . .
It was our first time visit to Chiang Mai. Friendly hotel owner provided us lots of trip advice, we had an amazing holiday experience, visiting temples, awesome food and Songkran festival !!
So apart from my flight. Expedia got my hotel right. Burapa Boutique Hotel is awesome. We were greeted by Nippon and Thim, great hospitality, honestly couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Our family suite was contemporary and modern, my only wish was if they had a pool. Other than that we were able to get around and sight see all over Chiang Mai. Nippon was gracious to setup everything and also get us a private red car and driver for 2 days and little over 24 hrs of driving for about 6K baht. We went to a dozen destinations some over 2 1/2 hours away. Nippon exceeded our expectations and allowed us to appreciate what Chiang Mai has to offer, definitely coming back because of him.
This boutique hotel is nestled amongst a pretty residential neighbourhood with the mighty Doi Suthep framing the scene. There is much peace and tranquility here. The owner and his team run a very cosey hotel and will attend carefully to all their guests needs . Location may be a little far from the Old City and the Ping River . But those locations are a short car ride ( or bike ride !) away.
My boyfriend and spent three days in Chiang Mai and we stayed at this hotel. We found that the room was spacious, clean and quiet (very quiet...). However, the hotel is fairly isolated with a few small stalls/shops around for any basic needs. It is quite far from the centre and the taxi fares are around 200 - 250 bhats each way and you will need the taxi because riding a bicycle or a moped can be very unsafe. Both my boyfriend and I each used one of the three bicycles of the hotel and felt that the roads were unsafe to try to go further that the nearest stall. The hotel staff were kind to offer to pick us up from the airport for 220 bhats which is the same rate as a taxi.
Unfortunately, the hotel offers very basic breakfast as they do not cater for that in the premises.
I definitely wished the hotel had a swimming pool as it was too hot to enjoy the balcony.
THIS IS MY 4TH TIME TRAVELLING IN CHIANG MAI. IT IS THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME IN CHIANG MAI , I PERFECTLY ENJOY THIS HOTEL. THE HOTEL IS LIKE BRAND NEW, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE, THE OWNER ARE VERY VERY KIND, I SPENT 6 DAYS HERE. THE LAST DAY THE OWNER SENT ME TO THE AIR PORT BY HER OWN CAR. BUT THIS PLACE IS A LITTLE BIT FAR FROM OLD CITY, YOU MAY NEED A MOTORBIKE. BUT VERY CLOSE TO MAYA MALL AND NIMAN RD. I MUST BE LIVING IN HERE IN MY NEXT TRIP TO CHIANGMAI!!!!!!!!!
A pretty alright hotel. But for the price that I'm paying I was quite disappointed that there's no breakfast that's included in it. Love the bed though. It's so "hard" and comfy, well this is personal preference.
Its very cosy and homey feeling...hotel is run by family and they are very friendly and helpful. U can rent a motorbike or car by requesting it thru the hotel and they'll find the transport at good rate
Good experience overall. The owners are superb in their hospitality and attention to needs. Property design is fantastic and rooms are well laid out. Location is a short ride from town but still convenient and quiet. Breakfast is adequate.
The room is well designed and well appointed /bed s comfortable. Close to Nimman rd and Maya ( way better with your own vehicle).
Will definitely cone back.
Burapa is a very clean well run hotel. The rooms are huge and spacious, the hotel is clean and well run. The hotel is about 30 mins from the City centre, at times with no traffic it can be less. The hotel is located in a quiet cul de sac. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant or bar. Yet there is plenty of places to eat within 5 mins walk from the hotel. The breakfast is great. The staff and owners try there best to accommodate you. They let you take their bicycles from free. I went with a friend, took a bicycle and explored the countryside without going into the city. I found an amazing scenic lake with loads of restaurants and bar located around it where locals hang out. There was karoke machines and bands in some bars. Behind the lake then is a beautiful old horse race track with the races on every Saturday, this was very cool to experience the races there. Don t expect modern, but more antique style set up. There was a beautiful Buddha temple less than a mile from the hotel, which had monks praying. There is a few massage places around the area, some good and some not so good. I found a nice area to interact with the people. I would recommend this hotel for someone who is looking for a peaceful, relaxing, private stay.
