"Nice room in a traditional pub, but it didn’t have space for a chair or even a luggage rack. You have to put your luggage on the bed to unpack and then sit on the bed to drink tea and eat the continental breakfast. The shower was good with lots of hot water. The bed and pillows weren’t great. The noise from the pub is very noticeable, keeping us awake until 1:45 am on a Friday night. "A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. "Room was pleasant but was not serviced on second day. Cooked breakfast was reasonable but there was no cereal to start with nor toast and jam to follow.
