Wonderful stay. Pictures don’t do the justice. It’s a beautiful 3 store cottage, spacious and comfortable for family of 4. Bathroom was clean and Kitchen has all the essentials. Walking distance to town center. Kids had a great time and didn’t want to leave. Wish we could stay longer.
We stayed at Lansdowne Cottage for two nights. The location was excellent — a short walk to Bourton-on-the-Water with its riverside views, shops, and restaurants. The cottage was cozy and had helpful amenities like a washer-dryer and utensils, though some items needed washing before use. Towels were limited, and we had to reuse them during our stay.
The main issue was the heat. We visited during a heat wave, and the cottage had only one small fan. Another was provided on request, but it wasn’t enough. We kept the windows open but were concerned about bugs (though we didn’t see any). For guests from the U.S. used to central AC, summer stays could be uncomfortable. That said, it would likely be lovely during cooler months.
The staff were very sweet and responsive, and we appreciated their help. Finding the cottage was a bit tricky — Google Maps misled us, and better signage would help future guests. Overall, a charming place with a great location, just be mindful of the summer heat.
We had an amazing stay in this pretty little cottage . Also enjoyed a fabulous full English breakfast in the main guest house served by a friendly team . The village is also beautiful , great restaurants and pubs .
