"Christophe and Christine the property managers were very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants and chateaus to visit. The breakfasts each morning were incredible: fresh baked croissants and bread, fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs made to preference. The location nestled in among the vineyards was picturesque and very quiet. The total experience far exceeded our expectations and I hope we can make a return trip."

"Don’t know where to start , fantastic and easily the nicest accommodation of any we stayed at in France. The owner hosts are very nice and have done an amazing job with this property. Five rooms in total avaiable for guests , it never felt crowded or uncomfortable. Beautiful gardens and pool to relax and enjoy close proximity to restaurants and a five min walk to the famous Libourne Market. Parking out front free on weekends 5.00 euro on other days . "Our stay was unforgettable. Olivier and Nathalie are wonderful hosts of a very beautiful hotel with tastefully decorated, comfortable rooms. The dinners (table d'hôtes) were phenomenal with excellent wine pairings from the region. We also very much appreciated the recommendations on things to do in the vicinity and which scenic roads to take. We felt like we stayed with family. It was so peaceful and restful that we can't wait to go back and stay longer. Very highly recommended!"

"The proprieter and his wife are very interested in pleasing their guests. The accommodation was quite lovely..........but up a steep flight of circular stairs. It lacked a seating area and a chest of drawers. The home-made jams ere wonderful when matched with the fresh croissants in the morning."

"The Chateau du Palanquey is an amazing property. There are only a handful of rooms and it is very secluded. The owners helped us out with wonderful local restaurant recommendations and a brilliant wine experience. I cannot recommend this property more highly. It was magnificent. "
