"Absolutely idyllic location, surrounded by greenery with a view down to the lake. Large room in the old part of the castle was clean and beautifully furnished with a large bathroom. The pool is situated in a peaceful part of the grounds and was very relaxed spot to stay with a book. The owners were very helpful and welcoming - we ordered chilled wine on the terrace and a lovely breakfast the next day. Highly recommend staying here."

"Good hotel just 2 issues: - The breakfast is expensive and doesn’t have much, I do not recommend purchasing the breakfast. It was only a few pastries. Very disappointing, it was hard to find water. - The hours the pool is open, the main reason we stayed here was the pool and it was only open from 3:00pm - 10:00pm rather than all day."

"Very nice hotel in Brive. Note that while they have a small private parking area you have to reserve in advance. It wasn’t obvious and when I got there the parking area was full. However there were plenty of paid street parking very close to the hotel and I got a spot right in front. Otherwise very nice hotel and helpful staff."

The restaurant area is gorgeous and serves very good food, though it is on the pricier side. "Beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. Room was small but comfortable bed. We did visit during a heatwave so the lack of air conditioning was a shame but we knew there wasn’t any when we booked. We paid 12€ each for breakfast which was well worth the money. Woke to a small market right outside the hotel which was a lovely bonus. Overall value for money it was spot on. Staff were lovely and helpful"
