Perfect location in central chalotteville on beach front and next to shops and restaurants. Easy to walk to beautiful secluded pirate bay beach where swimming is wonderful and few people there
I stayed in studio flat which is good value and comfortable with good cooking facility
The property was everything we were looking for. It was clean, well-kept, and fully equipped with all the kitchenette essentials we needed. We specifically wanted a beachfront stay, and this place exceeded expectations—we were literally just steps from the shore (about five steps away!).
The area felt extremely safe, and the community was warm and welcoming. We were able to pick up groceries from the local convenience store, as well as enjoy fresh fish and delicious cooked meals from nearby vendors—easily a 10/10 experience.
Falling asleep to the sound of the water right outside our door was incredibly soothing. One of the highlights was a local fisherman who took us by boat to nearby beaches that aren’t accessible on foot, for a small fee. There were also beautiful trails and scenic routes—whether hiking or taking a boat, everything felt like an adventure.
I would highly recommend staying here to anyone. This was truly a 100/10 experience, and I’ll definitely be bringing my family back. The property management team was easy to reach, and we were even able to get an upgrade due to the slower season. I’d absolutely return again during this time.
Overall, the stay was truly amazing. The rooms were spotless, and the sound of the waves at night created a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The villagers were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which added to the charm of the experience.
One of the things we enjoyed most was meeting many friendly tourists from all over the world, including Austria, Germany, Canada, the United States and other places. Many of them shared that they felt very safe and warmly welcomed by the locals, which made the entire experience even more special. It created a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable sharing stories and experiences.
The nearby amenities, including the corner shop and bar, were very convenient and enjoyable. The backyard barbecue guy was also a great touch. One of the highlights was the short walk to one of Tobago’s most beautiful beaches, Pirates Bay. And if you visit, be sure to look out for Jabba, the friendly Rasta who sells doubles and makes some of the best fish and fries around.
10 out of 10. I would definitely stay again.
This cozy almost feel at home hotel was such a joy. And the service was great. I had to call after hours for service and without hesitation someone came over and made sure everything was put in place for my complete comfort. And the person in charge made sure to text me and made sure i was satisfied and taken care of immediately. I will give one piece of advice, when booking make sure and take the rooms with the balcony that over looks the ocean. I was given this advice and i did not take it and i regret it completely. Beautiful place, cozy and awesome staff.
The old fashioned style. This place reminds me of the old days. And the people in the village were very polite everyone greeted me with a good morning, good day or good night. I thought I was in another world. I loved it. I will be coming back.see you guys soon.
Welcome to paradise! Cholson Chalets gives you a glimpse of old-time Tobago: houses that were built 50 to 100 years ago, in perfect working condition. Owner and staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be any better, in front of the sea and close to Charlotteville's central square (expect a little music on weekends). You bathe in front of the house, or just walk 300 metres to the official beach (quiet, with shady trees). Pirate's Bay, one of Tobago's most beautiful beaches, is a short hike away.
