The location is excellent—we walked just 5 minutes to the Basilica of Santa Maria. For halal food, Alo Ali Kebab shop is right across the road, and for non-Muslims there are plenty of highly rated restaurants nearby. The housekeeper, Joy, was amazing—we already miss her! It was a wonderful stay to experience Italy's countryside, and a change of pace during its peak summer tourism season. The breakfast in particular was incredible. And to top it off, when we mentioned to Regina that we would not be able to stay for the breakfast our final morning because of our flight time, she packed us a breakfast to-go. We'll miss Umbria, and we're grateful to have some of Damiano's wine and olive oil to remember our stay."

It really was like stepping back in time but with modern amenities ! To have a fire in our kitchen fireplace on a chilly evening while we made dinner was the perfect way to spend an evening. The view from the grounds is amazing and it is a very relaxing place to be- I only wish it had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the pool! We can’t wait to go back "
