"I was wondering why the name says "Sequoia Village" without having the word "hotel" in it. I learned after I checked in that this is not a hotel. It is a time-share apartment complex managed by a property manager. The rooms are:
a) Nasty: - carpet was smelly and probably hasn't been changed in 40 years.
- wood floor hasn't been replaced in probably 70 years.
- They most likely allow pets to live there.
b) Very old (my guess the apartment complex was built around Word War II).
Stay away.
c) They ask you to download their App to check in after 9 pm but there is no cell phone service around the hotel to download the App. Go figure! Luckily we arrived right before 9 pm or we would have had to sleep in our car!"
"This is a great spot to stay at if you are visiting Sequoia National Park. Three Rivers is nice but nearly an hour away on a very winding road. We loved that we could access the whole park very easily from the Lodge. The people, the food and the room were solid. Great bar, great location. What more could you ask for in a National Park. "
"The heater at the room was running very night , event with adjustment , it was still very hot to the point I felt very uncomfortable sleep event with open window "
"A beautiful and serene stay right next to the river. Staff was super friendly and very helpful! We will definitely be back for our next trip to Sequoia National Park!"
"appreciate the pet-friendliness, natural dog park, convenient EV charger, great cafe next door, excellent TV, and the spacious lodge.
good value for money. thank you! "
"Shower drain had hair in it. Carpet tack strip with the nails was exposed on the floor in front of the bathroom. Surfaces were dusty. We chose this place based on the location but will not be returning."
