"We could not do the visit due to a family emergency and needed to move the dates of our stay.. We had been scheduled to stay in one of the junior suites and were excited and looking forward to our trip. When approached regarding moving our stay the hotel staff were blunt, unhelpful and refused to even consider moving our visit to another date over the summer. "Gently fading grandeur. We had a lovely time and the pool/spa are very nice. Staff were friendly. Bar prices seem to reflect what this hotel used to be like, rather than its current state of maintenance as a few things weren't working eg room phones, spa shower. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked lovely."

"An okay no frills hotel. Airconditioning didn't work in 1 of 2 rooms and the single window didn't allow for airflow. Hinges on the bathroom door need grease so the door doesn't wake the entire room when opened. No locks on bathroom door which is a minor inconvenience. Had to slam exterior door shut to get it to latch which probably frustrated our neighbors. I had low expectations for breakfast from previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't amazing but was perfectly acceptable for fueling up before a trip to D Day sights."
