"What a gorgeous Yorkshire small market- town hotel. We arrived on a sunny April day and enjoyed drinks outside on the pavement terrace facing the market square. Inside is a comfortable, tastefully decorated sitting room as well as a bar area and restaurant. A beautiful wide staircase led to our room which was also lovely. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was excellent too."

"Everything was fantastic and the food was lovely. Only thing id criticise would be no mirrors in our room. I really struggled when trying to dry and straighten my hair. Had to use the bathroom mirror, luckily the tv plug sockets were outside the bathroom door."

"Heating turned on at 20degrees but frankly when it’s minus 7 outside this was not enough. A fan in the bathroom would be good because it’s unreasonable to expect the window to be open when freezing outside. Shower was hard to adjust. A manual when you arrive would be a help too If you had 4 people in this house it would be too small. A simple double bed in the second bedroom would provide a bit more space to move around. Towel rail in the bathroom would be better if you could tirn it off and...

"It’s so hard to find the quintessential English pub these days but the shoulder of mutton hits the spot. The food was home cooked and great, not prepackaged Pub was clean, no damp or mould The view from the beer garden was amazing overlooking the valley The room was Pub basic but clean and not mouldy. Room was very clean but very noisy could here people in next room even their conversation and our room was at the front so constant traffic noise , lots of lorry’s going by. The double bed in our room (4) was very uncomfortable could feel the springs so not much sleep. Breakfast was interesting bought to your room in a basket ! "
