"Awesome place clean and comfortable"

"Very nice location within walking distance of town, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Housekeeping staff does need to be a little more detail oriented. Noticed an area in bathroom that should have been cleaned which apparently was overlooked. Definitely plan to stay here again when visiting the area."

"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

"Service was very slow at breakfast in the restaurant, even though there were only two other couples dining."

"It’s was clean and really modern. Loved it"

"Clean room"

"Best sleep of my 8 days vacation ! Stayed in Black Mountain Asheville area. Beds are the best with down comforters for climate. Just the best mountain views and pet friendly. Free breakfast that was awesome! Will be back! You will love the location and views. Staff excellent and very very clean place inside and out. Gym was the best. I’ll give it 10 of 10"

"This is an older hotel, nothing fancy as with most of this brand, but it was comfortable, clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints."

"I was at the hotel for two days of hiking around western North Carolina (Pisgah National Forest, Grandfather Mountain State Park, Mount Mitchell State Park, and Chimney Rock State Park). I loved the location of the hotel - it's just one mile away from where you can access the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant were even willing to put on the TV channels of my preference. The restaurant was a great place to relax after a day on...

"Okay, it's nice enough for hiking and it's clean with a good view. Unfortunately, there is no blow dryer and the communication with the staff is hit or miss. I asked for a 3rd for room with my reservation, but the hotel owners said second floor would be better. Well, you can hear everything from the people above (stomping around and yelling). The area was hit hard from Helene...a lot lf trails still closed and not much for restaurant options in downtown Spruce Pine as they're still recovering."

"The room was not clean to satisfaction, The bathroom floor was really nasty, no phone in the room to contact front desk, no hot water in sink, and the shower was not working properly. When you got up off the bed it made a strange noise, This is a terrible place to stay i would not recommend it to anyone!"

"Perfect for a short stay. Close to the Blue Ridge and lots of hikes"

"I stayed in the Milton room and it was beautiful. The Hotel has a very warm feeling with lots of comfortable seating downstairs to socialize. The owner sent me an email with self check-in instructions making it very easy to proceed directly to my room. She even called me leaving a message making sure I was aware of the email and asked if I had any questions. It made me feel right at home. I would definitely stay again and recommend them to any couple who wants a romantic getaway."

"sadly we did not enjoy our stay and we are old house lovers - the location was great being close to town and the WIFI was excellent but the room was not what we would have expected for the price - small with tub in the middle, toilet so close to the wall it was difficult to sit on, shower that went from frigid to burning hot off & on, no soap, 1/2 bottle of shampoo, the room was too hot and stuffy even with both windows open, bed was called queen but felt more like a double, bedding had cigaret"

"Recently remodeled motel is conveniently located in Black Mountain and is a great value. The room, bathroom, and linens were very clean. Staff was very friendly."
