Zentral aber nicht zu empfehlen!

Wir waren im Macallè für zwei Nächte. Die Lage ist super, sehr zentral gelegen aber das Zimmer war in einem ungenügenden Zustand. Im Zimmer befand sich ein Duftstecker dieser einen sehr aufdringlichen Geruch verbreitete (scheint aber in Sizilien überall so zu sein). Das Zimmer war sauber, sehr hellhörig, Bett quietschte und die Kissen waren sehr hart. Im Badezimmer wellte sich das Laminat, was daran lag, dass das Wasser der Toilette gemischt mit Urin aus der Dusche lief und sich dementsprechend im gesamten Badezimmer verteilte. Wir waren morgens von der Zeit her knapp bemessen, da wir eine Ätna-Tour gebucht hatten und nur eine Stunde Zeit für unsere Körperpflege hatten. Telefonischer Kontakt zu Federika war nonstop zufriedenstellend und konnte uns innerhalb kürzester Zeit ein anderes Badezimmer zur Verfügung stellen, was jetzt aber nicht gerade die Urlaubsstimnung förderte. Ein preisliches Entgegenkommen oder eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit für die unangenehmen Vorkommnisse war auch nicht drin, ganz im Gegenteil, die Gastgeber dachten wir sind nur eine Nacht, statt der gebuchten 2 Nächte da; wirklich unprofessionell und wirkte unorganisiert. Wir sind definitiv nicht kleinlich, aber es gibt in jedem Fall bessere B&B's zum selben Preis!

La estancia en el b&b Macalle fue una buena elección para visitar Catania. La habitación era confortable con baño dentro de la habitación y desayuno incluido. Todo muy limpio. Las chicas que nos atendieron no podían ser más simpáticas nos explicaron toda la ciudadanía y dónde podíamos ir a comer y cenar. Siempre pendientes de nuestra comodidad. 100% recomendable. Además muy buena relación calidad-precio

バスルームが同室で排水が良好であれば、高評価はうなずけるが

空港バスで緑のある公園（ベッリーニ公園東口）で下車し、公園を横断。突き当りのスーパーの右側の道路がウゲッティ通り（西行き一方通行）で、200m位進めば右手にパン屋あり。この上の3階が当ホテルとなる。エレベーターは英式では２階になる。夜間は電灯が全くないので懐中電灯が必要。受付は丁寧，親切。部屋は落ち着く。冷蔵庫はビジネスホテル程度で小さい。WiFiは良好。テレビのチャンネルは多すぎて困る位。窓を開けると車の騒音が気になる。朝食のコーヒーはエスプレッソ。2日目にはケーキが2種類あった。他室はバスルーム付きだが、今回泊まった305号室は水回り設備が全くなく、廊下の向いが当室のバスルームとなる。トイレ、シャワー、手洗いの為にたった２ｍの距離でも裸では行けないのが一番の問題。また節水シャワーなのでバスタブにお湯をはれない。排水が極めて悪いのも問題。2泊したが、タオルの交換、ゴミの始末、ミネラルウォーターの補給等はなかった。なお、公園をまっすぐ東に行けば大きな市場に出会う。さらに東に進み、バス道で右折すると約30分で駅前バスターミナルに到着する。

We had a lovely 2 night stay at B&B Macalle. The hosts, Mario and Federica were wonderful, and allowed a late check-in with cup of tea on arrival! The room was spacious and clean with a nice balcony and good wifi. Our bathroom was external to our room but private (not shared). There was a good breakfast included, and coffees made each morning by Mario. 5-10 minute walk to main shopping street and a bit further to all the main monuments (it is on the opposite side of town to the bus and train stations, but the airport bus stops quite close - we walked from Giardino Bellini bus stop in 5-10 mins ). We would definitely recommend this B&B to fellow travellers, we had a wonderful stay in Catania. Thank-you Mario and Federica!

Very recommendable

We enjoyed our stay at B&B Macalle. Bright, large and clean room with a small balcony. Mario was very friendly and helpful and made us nice cappucinos for breakfast! He also recommended at great restaurant nearby. The area was nice and at a walking distance to everything. Only downside was the low water pressure in the bathroom, which made showering a bit of a cold experience.
