  • Came across the Kootenai Falls stop on the way home from a road trip. Hit it early in the morning so there were only a handful of people. A very easy hike. We stopped the end of May so the water was rushing through. Here in BC there are fences all around edges of cliffs and water. Here there was nothing so you could really enjoy the raw beauty of Mother Nature.

Kokanee Glacier Resort was a wonderful stay — clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything one could need. The Meimei was friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommend!

This is a nice older property. The room I had would be great for an extended stay as it had a full kitchen. Not a lot of amenities, but this staff was great and very attentive to details. Would definitely stay here again if the price is right.

I had stayed here 12-13 yrs ago so just had to go back…The owner was super nice and couldn’t do enough for us. Room was recently renovated and so was very nice. 15 min from downtown, close to free ferry to Crawford Bay and about 45 minutes to Ainsworth Hot Springs.Would definitely stay again, hopefully soon. Recommend highly if staying in/near Nelson.

The comfort, much room, the complete equipment and the awesome view from the beautifull yard. All was outstanding! The restaurant was very good and with the beautifull view on the terrace. The owner very friendly. Could not have been better!

Grounds were lovely and great for our dogs. Rooms were new and felt luxurious but bedside table and lamps would have been nice. Hall closet had no shelves and no coat hooks in rooms. Overall very comfortable and nice stay.

Highly Recommend!

We spent our 5 year anniversary trip at Kokanee Creek Resort and it was fantastic! From the service, cleanliness, quality, and food, everything was amazing. Right from the start we were met with friendly service and our room was beautiful and spotless. The restaurant is a hidden gem, beautiful atmosphere with some of the best food either of us have had in some time! Even if you are staying in Nelson, the 10 minute drive is worth it!

This is a very pretty property. With everything modern inside and very clean outside. We found that our extra pullout bed was not particularly comfortable. But otherwise everything was nice.

Absolutely amazing. Would not want to stay anywhere else while in Nelson. The owners are wonderful as is the food at their restaurant. The view from the hotel can not be beat. I’d give them 10 stars if I could .

We loved staying at Kokanee Glacier resort - Meimei was so accommodating and kind, the suite we stayed in was spacious and clean, and we booked a pet friendly room which made it easy to bring our dog. The property was great to walk our dog around. We have family on both sides of the bridge (right in Nelson and in the Balfour area), therefore this resort was the perfect midway point between the two. We will definitely be back and will happily be recommending this resort to others!
