The room and bed was good but felt a old smell which needs made it feel that it needs a room freshner across the rooms and houses. There was good and spacious car park and within 10-15 min drive from lot of English heritage sites. "Set in the quiet and bucolic Norfolk countryside, this is a lovely place to stay for a quiet retreat. We stayed in an en-suite cabin with two dogs, we were surrounded by woodland and looked out over a lake, of which there are a few within the site. Alongside the great views, we had a comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities and a clean and modern en-suite. "The self serve check in machines x 2 were not working. No one the front desk, asked the lady managing the bar she said she would be there in a bit, but in the meantime continued to serve new people coming up to the bar, cleaned multiple tables all the time whilst I was waiting just to check in. Once I asked again and she came over to help,! but she was sickly sweet. I just wanted to check in. 20mins later it finally happened. Room was good, had kettle and tea available for the morning. "Staff were excellent and friendly. Pub was welcoming and inviting. Breakfast cooked to order and very nice. Now for the room. No5 a bit dated but spacious. Bed was very firm but could feel every spring in the mattress. Shower pressure abysmal and scalding to start. Had to use a lot of force just to get the dial round to get the cold water flowing and still low pressure. Some say adds character, I’d say it lacked comfort. "
