Pine Inn
"Hated the bed; no mattress pad under sheets and pillows were huge foam bags unsuitable for sleeping. Staff were wonderful as was the parking. Fan provided was a noisy window fan and it was impossible to open a window in the room."

Cypress Inn
"We checked in and the lady at the desk gave me the wrong keys. I got to the room and the key didn't work. The fireplace didn't work and the room was noisy and on the street. They said the hotel was at half capacity so they should have given us a better room but they didn't."

Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey Bay
"It’s hard to know what to expect when you’ve never been to the town before. This is a great place for location. I wanted to check in quick and stretch my legs walking along the ocean. That happened. A few unhomed folks along the way. If you want valet, help with your bags, friendly but not BFF staff. ..."
