"always professional here , very clean. we prefer to go to breakfast early to avoid ques when its busy (before 8am) car park next door is convenient but pricey. all round a good place to stay we have been a good few times and will go again!"

The staff has been especially kind and helpful, and much I needed Since my plans changed after I checked out and had to check back in, they honored the rate I had previously booked. They are also within a lovely walking distance of beautiful gardens and the river and the downtown area. Highly recommended hotel. "

"Generally the standard of hygiene could be improved dramatically , just very dusty and dirty in certain areas. They just need to hoover the carpet more. We had a blocked sink and the water wasn’t very warm despite setting to maximum. I understand other guests had similar issues. Positives were - very friendly staff, comfy bed and oreo snacks were nice"

"Stayed here for one night (24/4/26). It was good value for money as far as I’m concerned. The Greyfriars Lodge is very old but it’s clean. We were very happy with the location. 10 min walk from Canterbury East Station. 4 min walk to Marlowe Theatre the main reason we came to Canterbury. 4 min walk to Butter Market and the Cathedral. The room we had was spacious and the staff very welcoming (Sanjeewa). If you’re looking for modern place to stay then this Lodge isn’t for you. We like to support small businesses."
