"A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”.
Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff.
The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room.
The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower.
We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. A good selection of vegetarian options. Our usual habit of swapping plates half though very much went by the board.
Breakfast was very good with both millennial and traditional...

"Lovely ,quiet hotel only 8 minutes walking down to the seafront. Very friendly but professional staff/owner.
I had the full English ,it was delicious.
There were other options available.
Nice clean room with large ensuite. The towel rail warmer was actually on and kept towels dry and warm unlike some other places where there's no means of getting them to come on!
I would certainly recommend to others."

"Stayed here for 2 nights for my birthday. Hotel is lovely! Room was clean and had everything we needed, nothing was too much hassle for the staff. Best breakfast we probably ever had, so much variety. We also had dinner which was outstanding. Spa and club facilities were great too. Will definitely be returning"

"Fantastic to be just across the road from the terminal, which allowed us to drop bags, return the hire car on the evening of arrival and sleep a little later for an early flight.
The staff were super helpful and friendly. Great breakfast.
Dinner was average but totally adequate.
Our shower was a bit blocked but overall a great place to stay the night before an early flight."

"Location is perfect, close to lots of things to do and see. The staff are all very nice and friendly, can't folt them at all. The room we stayed in could do with a bit of an upgrade in the bathroom and a freshen up but it was still a nice enough stay. Food was beautiful, dining room was very clean and nicely presented. Would highly recommend."

"Hotel was lovely modern but with an old school twist. Pianist in the bar, silverware on the breakfast tables and impeccable service by the wonderful staff. Enjoyed our stay, lovely waterfront position. Great food in the river Grille and fabulous cocktails on Ricks. "

"The property had the facilities required for a stay in the harbourside area, clean and basic.
