"Great stay and really cool historical building. If arriving late be aware that parking might be tough and you might need to park in a nearby garage."

"I will keep this simple. This is place is a dump. A terrible hotel. We were placed on the third floor and the building has no lift. So I had to carry my wife’s and my luggage up 3 flights of stairs. I am 71 years old, in good shape, so it was not a problem, the greeter didn’t offer any assistance. "Sehr gemütliches Zimmer, schöner Innenhof, in dem wir gefrühstückt haben und wo wir abends gemütlich sitzen konnten. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber (mit freundlichem Hund und neugieriger Katze). Das Frühstück war vielseitig und sehr hochwertig. Von der Unterkunft ist man in wenigen Minuten am Meer (Strand oder Dünen). Parken kann man in der Nähe der Unterkunft."

"Of all the places we stayed on our three-week trip, Le Doux Refuge was by far our favourite. Christine and Christoph made us feel at home from the very start, and they treated my father like he was the most important person in the world. Secondly, the accommodation: beautifully decorated,...

"A wonderful lodge for the last night in France 🇫🇷 we wish we could have stayed longer. My children loved the little hide away bedroom and the roll top bath. Clemence offered an excellent dinner recommendation at a local craft beer tap room. The food was divine! As was the beer. We would highly recommend this accommodation."

"We had a nice stay at this location, though AC is not typical for most lodging in the area. Because there was no AC, we had to leave the windows open, which let quite a few small flies into our room. However, we really enjoyed the delicious breakfast prepared by the owners."
