"Don’t get a burger but hotel is so nice !!!"

"Lovely hotel in excellent location, room was very comfortable, spacious with a newly refurbed bathroom. Lounge area served great food with a lovely atmosphere. Spa was fantastic although feel that as a hotel guest it should be at a reduced rate. Staff were all very friendly, breakfast a great selection. The only negative was we could hear next doors television late into the evening. Would definitely stay again."

"A bit tired. Could do with a good scrub and a coat of paint. Room ok. We only stayed a couple of nights. I would not have wanted to be there for a week. Pool and sauna very good. Shower by sauna very good. Hot tub and flooring near pool seemed like it could be cleaner. Breakfast buffet ok but much better ordering off the menu. Food in the restaurant for the evening meal was good. All staff were very good!"

"Large comfy room, good staff and a tasty breakfast. Easy check in and out."

"Sistemazione confortevole in un’ottima posizione per visitare l’estremità occidentale della Cornovaglia. Parcheggio comodissimo. Ottima e abbondante colazione cucinata, possibilità di cenare. Personale gentilissimo. Sistemazione della camera un pochino da rivedere: era presente una enorme e consunta poltrona che occupava inutilmente tantissimo spazio. Wifi non sempre funzionante."

"We were well looked after by Scout on arrival. The property had a very calming atmosphere. The menu is not extensive but the quality of the food was excellent and we liked the idea of the small plates it gave the opportunity to try a number of items (in the style of tapas but with more quantity). This was a great place to get away and relax and we would not hesitate to return."

"I stayed two nights . Car park just up the lane is ample and free to use. On arrival spoke to the polite and helpful barman who was busy but showed my room & helped me with a few queries Room was clean ,quiet and well equipped..also nice powerful shower . I was out all day fishing leaving very early which wasnt a problem. I ate at the pub both nights . Great food and well kept ales .enjoyed meeting Brian and a few locals at his busy and entertaining quiz night . Wednesday night was curry...

"Good location, complimentary sundae for kids."

"This is our 5th stay at the Alverton and we look forward to coming back again. Excellent base to explore Cornwall by bus, train or car. Delicious breakfasts and excellent food in the bar or brasserie."

"Superb guesthouse in convenient location close to city centre. Close to bus routes too. Very accommodating owners. Lovely, clean room with everything you could ask for. Brilliant continental breakfast including cereals, pastries, toast, fruit/fruit salad, cheese and yoghurts. Cake and hot drinks also available during the day. Communal fridge is useful to keep your own food fresh. Really lovely experience with amazing hosts. Highly recommended!"

"Cozy Inn in an amazing Cornish harbour location. Loved every minute sitting on the windowsill and watching the ongoings outside. Lovely cooked breakfast and traditional pub downstairs. Will come again!"

"Great place"

"Close to Trebha gardens and stop at Maen Smith village pub on way back to hotel."
