"We stayed in a room that had a shower over the bath, quite a step to get out, we feel a bath mat should be provided. The towels are lovely and big, the bed was very comfortable but the pillows need replacing. Nice place to stay as it’s an easy walk into town. Yes we would stay here again."

"Clean room, easy parking with friendly and professional staff. Warm welcome with a lovely Tavern for a drink, limited menu for dinner but very tasty simple food. The inclusive breakfast buffet was excellent, good selection of cooked and continental breakfast items. We were a couple and enjoyed the knights sword fighting, brilliant performances. For families with young children there was a small park, story telling with Zog and Knights interacting throughout dinner."

"We were disappointed that the pictures advertising the Walton Hall Hotel & Spa were quite deceptive. The actual hotel is not at all connected to the historic Walton Hall, and the hotel wing and room that we experienced were very worn and in need of a renovation. The pool and fitness room were listed on Expedia as amenities, but these facilities are not owned by the hotel and require payment for use (after registering our complaint, we were given free passes). "Parking easy, food and staff great "

"We stayed at Heythrop Park over the Easter weekend. The hotel is beautiful and big. Our room was in a perfect location near in the North wing and we were very close to their spa facilities. There was no information saying we had to check-in at a different location. This is what we were informed by reception at North wing. Never managed to figure that out!! "Positives: The location and Parking are excellent. The Reception, and Bars are styling & Comfortable. But, some communal areas are tired (example the entrance from the car park), the garden is overgrown in parts and its seems their are sraff shortages (the staff seem good, but under pressure). There is building work going on, and there is evidence of this as you enter through the entrance from the car park. There is a very small lift and no sign for the stairs! "

"Room was eh, very noisy and zero air flow. Smelled very moldy and my nose is stuffed up after in night. Decided to eat local at the restaurant and was a disaster. €60 for two people and was the worst risotto, basically eating straight pepper seasoning, my GF had a burger and was so spicy she was sweating. Then had to wait nearly an hour to get a desert, that tasted very off, like expired tasting. To top it off, not really a reception, so you have to go to the bar, and wait like you are...

"The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with great views, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what guests expect and they deliver with ease, the rooms are unique and comfortable which complement the amazing views The car park is ample and safe for hotel guests and for restaurant diners our continental breakfast was great and accompanied by a barista coffee, well worth the visit and looking forward to visiting again "
