Its construction began as early as the first half of the 13th century by the Přemyslid kings and complete by King Ottokar II of Bohemia. From a major royal castle established around the mid-13th century, and the seat of the Moravian margraves in the mid-14th century, it was gradually turned into a huge baroque fortress considered the harshest prison in the Austro-Hungarian empire, and then into barracks. Was in Brno for business but this hotel made me feel like I was on vacation.. the staff was very friendly and helpful the hotel is so pretty and very conveniently located. It was a perfect stay.

The hotel and room are beautiful. The staff were great. However, our room was not ready at the check. In time and was directly across the street from a dance club the played loud music until almost 3:00 am!!!’ Along with the crowd you could easily hear. If you stay here make sure you inquire as to where your room is relative to the dance club.

The hotel is beautiful and reasonable for the quality of service. It is perhaps the grandest free breakfast we have ever experienced. The bed was massive. Live piano music fills the grand lobby and offers a r tremendous place for a cocktail. Also received 20% off a grand meal and 2 free drinks- Great experience

Fabulous hotel

An absolutely superb hotel, I’m not sure if I have stayed in anywhere better. The room was excellent, the staff brilliant and the food in the restaurant was gorgeous. I had to double check the price that we had paid

The hotel is beautiful, the check in and check out was seamless. The front desk staff are welcoming. The hospitality exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and comfortable. The Dani restaurant was excellent and the service was AMAZING! The breakfast was awesome. It’s Central to major sites and within walking distance to Central Station. We enjoyed our stay.
