This hotel had an excellent restaurant for dinner and great breakfast. Staff was very helpful and professional. Hotel and rooms were very clean. Hotel has a nice view over the city and is within a 5 minute drive to the town center and train station.

The room was clean, no issues, the WiFi was pretty fast and the amenities were nice. The beds were comfortable, and the view was pretty decent. The area was quiet, so it was quite easy to relax. It was decently close to other important locations, like a grocery and the main train station, which was convenient.

Nice modern hotel

The hotel is in a good, quiet neighborhood. It is beautiful and modern. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. The hall at the reception is wonderful.

I’ve stayed at a lot of Mariotts and this is exactly what I have come to expect from them. We received great service, our room was excellent, the staff was exceptional, the in house restaurant was fantastic, and our server Maria took phenomenal care of us. The parking was very easy to navigate, and the staff gave us very clear directions to get what we needed. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Nice facilities. Not a great area to get by walking (15 minute walk to the city center or station with absolutely nothing in the way). Very slow check in, restaurant was good but really overpriced, and that combination having the next closest place at a 15 minutes walk is what drops the score.

It is a nice hotel. But the reason I chose this hotel was that it should be walking distance to freedom square. But it was road construction, so it should have taken 40 minutes to walk. So had to order Bilt/ Uber every time. Nice that I could get an early check in. But then I had to accept a handicap equipped room. That is no problem. But when I should take a shower it was nearly impossible to screw at the tap for heat and up/ down shower.

This is our eighth stay at this property and this review is really the same for all 8 stays. The property is new, excellent condition, close to the major highway, very friendly staff, safe and clean. We have a couple of issues though, firstly the “hot” breakfast buffet items are always cold. It doesn’t matter what time you come for breakfast, the hot items are cold. This could be greatly improved. In the meantime order some bespoke scrambled eggs so at least that will be warm. The second issue we have is with the uncomfortable mattresses and the uncomfortable pillows. We find the pillows here horrible. They seem soft at first but after a little while they become very hard and uncomfortable. I know that mattresses and pillows vary and everyone has their own opinion, but we stay at numerous hotels a year and this one has by far the most uncomfortable pillows. Lastly, the “air conditioning” whether it’s too hot or too cold doesn’t seem to work. It is unbearably hot in the winter and we found that the AC shuts off at midnight in the summer. This is typical all over Europe but surely a brand new hotel would be able to give their guests the ability to accurately adjust the in-room temperature to whatever they desire efficiently and effectively? Anyways, the hotel overall is great, you should definitely stay here and with a few tweaks it would actually be excellent in our honest opinion.

Almost perfect - 1) the location was great (I could stroll into old town if I wanted, supermarkets around the hotel were easily accessible, my room had fantastic views), a well-maintained basement parking is a god-sent in winter, the hotel has a good restaurant if you felt lazy heading out for meals. Just 2 things to improve on - 1) Upon check-in, when I paid for parking and tourist tax, the sum didn’t add up. But the difference was minimal (about SGD5) and I was tired, after a long day so didn’t bothered to follow-up. It would be good to provide the breakdown or receipt; 2) Toilet doors need better insulation, it gets loud for the person in the room (trying to sleep) when someone is showering.
