"The room was clean and pretty big, albeit decor is slightly dated. It's a family business, and Sandra/Robyn provide a genuinely sweet welcome and suggestions for things to do. The surrounding area is quiet but stunning, with gorgeous mountain passes and beaches nearby. The included breakfast is a nice touch to start your day."

It transpired that the room was almost at the furthest point one could be from the reception area and involved a number of changes of direction and finally a very steep and narrow staircase with literally no landing outside the room. "A wonderful hotel perched above the town of Killarney with amazing views down to Lough Leane. The staff were wonderfully friendly and nothing was ever too much bother. The views from the Lake Restaurant were particularly good and the rooms spacious and well appointed."
