Only complaints are the bathrooms. Broken door handles, no soap, garbage and trash, one of them was missing a shower head.

This place was a very basic “hotel” at an extortionate rate, probably because my stay coincided with the Boston marathon. There was a shared kitchenette with appliances which looks like they dated from the 1950s and a large TV that didn’t work (no signal cable); the shared bathroom had a shower that just about worked but, again, looked like it was 50 years old and had an unreliable temperature. The room itself was quite large in floor area but tucked under the eaves so had little space to stand up in. I’m not sure the lock on the door would have withstood a firm attempt to open it. Sheets and a blanket barely fit the bed and the window blind didn’t block out much light. If someone used the washing machine in the kitchen at night, the sound of the water pipes supplying it were very noticeable in my room. The rooms may have been clean but the decor was so tired that it was difficult to tell. The local area is “colourful” but that did mean there was plenty of choice of restaurants (mostly Korean) in the area. The plus point is that it was only about 10 minutes walk to the Harvard Avenue Green Line station so I could get into the city quite quickly even though it was a few miles outside the centre.

The accommodation was quite run down. The bathroom in particular was really dirty and disgusting. But the accommodation is very well located.

This is a great budget stay, but you are getting a budget experience so know what you're signing up for. Acoustics are bad. You can hear through walls. Condition of building is not great. But the rooms are clean, safe and the staff is helpful but lean, so they will do a very good job at their limited scope. I love staying here because it fits the constraints I have for short, business travel, but I wouldn't take a vacation here.

The property is really dilapidated inside. Steps broken, doors of the shared bathroom lock falling apart. Carpets are very dirty, there were cigarette ashes on the window sill. Cigarette butts all over the front of the property. The attendant was very nice and polite and changed us to a slightly better room on the third floor.

Unkempt , needing extensive repairs to the interior, exposed water & sewer pipes in bedroom with gaping hole, unsanitary carpeting, very poor maintenance, poor cleaning, beds are sagging and unclean. Health department needs to take notice of this facility.

Un Hôtel Inn qui a besoin d'un gros coup de neuf
Bon j'aime pas être un spamer mais la je crois que c'est ma pire expérience voyage dans un pays développé... Points + = l'emplacement dans Allston, les restos à côté et l'accès en transport. Personnel sympa et réactif. Points - = je crois que les photos sur Hotel.com.datent d'il y a 20 ans... La peinture était bien usée comme les lavabos des salles de bains. Et mon dieu mais shampouiné vos moquettes... Le pire c'est que j'ai payé quasi 200$ pour 2 nuit dans ces condition. La seule chose qui sauve cet hôtel est son entourage et le personnel sympa.

Basic lodging in an old victorian. Portable heater in room. Shared bathroom. It was safe. Had parking. Shopping, clubs, a block away. Decent neighborhood. Easy to get to freeway.

The reviews are very harsh in my opinion, it was a very calm and nice stay. Especially for the price compared to other places costing 3x the price. The staff is also very nice and accommodating

very dirty! there were rats in my hotel room, 3 occurrences. I had to keep calling the landlord who promised the exterminator, but nope. still woke up to rats under my mattress...

It's extremely unfortunate! I used to love staying here, but my most recent stay has turned into a nightmare and the staff are beyond ridiculous. I left a bag there for them to watch over, have my ticket stub for it and had very important items in there for Christmas, and now they can't find my bag,, can't be bothered to call me back once even, and every time i call the person who answers the phone has a crazy rude attitude, clearly couldn't care less that they either stole or lost my property, and actually has the audacity to keep hanging up on me!! This is so unprofessional, and absurd. It's Christmas, and now my fiance and my family won't be getting their gifts because this place couldn't care less about anyone else's belongings it seems. I'm outraged but apparently my calling them 1x a day to ask what is going on is too much for them to handle and the staff just hasn't up on me like it's nothing. I would not recommend this place at all!! Nvm all that, the room
