"Hotel had a central location near Bologna Downtown and Two Towers, lots of shops, restaurants and stores nearby mini marts and grocery stores. Good bathroom and room size...interesting small door to get into room. Hotel is old but in good condition for age. Elevator was a savior but only 1 person and 2 large suit case's per trip or 2 people with luggage. A/C worked well...small bathroom and room but we expected it from the other reviews. "On our first visit to Bologna we figured we would stay at the hotel Metropolitan because of its location in the city as it was fairly central to all the interesting areas and gave us a great place to start to explore from. One thing to note is that it is a bit of a walk from the train station, but the walk is nice and is mostly under porticoes which made it much more enjoyable.
