"The room and hotel worked for what it was offering! I enjoyed my stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful, but the door to the room I was staying in wasn’t working properly so I did run into some minor issues there. Other than that, it was very smooth sailing! Would recommend!"

"We have stayed here before and thought it was good.
This time we were in the Coach House instead of the older building. It tried to be characterful but wasn't. It was probably built in the 80s and what little work that had been done on it since was not done well. It was tired and shabby.
There were flies in the room, going into the bathroom and then sitting on the pillows!
There were also flies in the Fat Abbot restaurant and the food left a lot to be desired, not the highly rated bistro pub...

"Certain rooms are not well cleaned or maintained. The manager is never available. Dogs allowed off lead to defecate on the carpets in the hotel and I stepped in it and walked it into our room before I realised and Mo the assistant manager didn't believe me or didn't care . I felt that a Nigerian rugby team staying with them the same time was more importan & I was insignificant by comparison. I Wonder the response they would have gotten from management if one of the elite trod on dog poop inside...
