Malmaison Birmingham
Hotels.com offered an upgrade to a suite which I accepted and was confirmed in writing. Upon check-in was told that Hotels.com frequently do this even if the property is fully booked. Very disappointing. Room was ok. Quiet. Awful smell emanating from the toilet though.

There were lots of positives. Staff great and the room was big. However, I got bed bug bites which was disappointing and I didn’t get a response from the hotel when I raised it
