Fantastic accommodation right in the heart of the old town, but it’s still nice and quiet. Accommodation had everything you needed, fridge, microwave, tea and coffee, fan, cleaned every day and fresh towels also. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again😀

The hotel was in the Old Town so was a great location for exploring. In the room you couldn't hear a lot of noise from outside. The room was great, really clean and spacious with a fridge and a kettle. Bathroom was huge, with a wonderful shower. Would definitely recommend this hotel, there was even a lift!!

First of all, as other guests mentioned in their reviews, the main door to the “hotel” (once inside the building) is neither clearly marked nor explained in the check-in instructions. If it weren’t for another guest (who happened to enter the building as we were confusedly looking around) we would have spent more time than we already had searching for access to our room. The place is more of an average vibe than any decent hotel experience. The room itself has horrible, harsh, cool, bright overhead lights or lighting fixtures that didn’t work at all. No AC (as mentioned by other guests) and no good air circulation whatsoever and lots of noise coming from the street below once the windows are open. To top it off, it had a ridiculously weak WiFi signal in our room (number 3) that was barely usable. We spent one dissatisfied evening here and booked an excellent hotel nearby for the rest of our stay in Bilbao. The only good thing I can honestly say is that it had a comfortable bed and was relatively clean. That’s a pretty low bar. Booking this place was a waste of time and effort. Absolutely and COMPLETELY disappointed!! One last thing: after contacting the host upon our premature departure, we never received any response or acknowledgment whatsoever regarding our concerns. Not one word.

This is a very clean, tidy budget accommodation which I’m so pleased we booked. It’s ideal for exploring both the old and new areas of Bilbao in a lovely quiet street, close to the river. It has key pad entry which takes away the worry about keys with towels changed and bed made everyday. I would certainly recommend and hope to visit again.

Clean and efficient

Clean, quiet, modern, no-nonsense place in the heart of the old town Bilbao. Convenient to bars, restaurants, shopping, and attractions. We loved the quick communication by text and WhatsApp, and the very easy no-key checkin. If there are problems there is a partner hotel a few doors down with registration staff but we never needed them.

Great location, easy check in, well equipped. Should you want a room with an actual balcony so you can sit and look outside make sure you are clear about this. We had the deluxe double with balcony ad shown in photo we thought. Sadly it was an internal balcony with windows not shown in photos.

Taxi driver dropped us at the nearby Arriaga Theatre, probably due to language issues. Then we walked across to the Arriaga Hotel opposite - again the wrong place - they told us to go around the corner! Tip would be to look at the address of the hotel you get given as it’s just a few metres up a paved street not far away from both those places and the road. The code to get in was the same for front door, first floor and room which was a bit weird but it worked. It is next door to a little shop (a bit like boots) and close to the river to get a 60min cruise and easy to walk to the Guggenheim which is excellent.

Location is great! The room very clean and has everything you need. The communication with staff via WhatsApp was very convenient and clear and they were very helpful. The only minus in this property is the sounds of people upstairs and the ones in the rooms next to me. The walls and ceilings are very thin and you can hear everting all day long. In the nights it’s tricky. You need earplugs if you don’t wanna hear your neighbors snoring or having s*x lol

Casual Arriga Suites, Bilbao

Great location situated in the old town, by the river and near to bars & resteraunts and buses, trams, trains and taxi's. The accommodation is a suite with no reception area, so you require an access code to enter the main street and room doors. But approx. 50 yards along the street on the right hand side (next to El Txoko stake resteraunt), their is a Casual hotel and 24 hour reception desk, situated on the buildings 3rd floor. They were very helpful and stored my bag whilst I awaited my 2pm check-in. But they also arranged to send me my access code by 12.30pm for an early check-in. I would definitely recommend this accomodation for a bed only and ideal location stay.
