"This was one of our favourite hotel stays ever! Beautiful wood panelled lodge set into the hills of the Black Forest. The room was spotless and the food at dinner and breakfast was faultless too. The service was friendly throughout. The view from the beer garden alone is worth coming for. 10/10 P.s. It’s a personal preference thing but I like to have two pillows. There was only one in the room so do ask at the desk if you prefer two"

"Unfortunately our prepaid reservation from several months ago was not known the to staff working the reception. Our party had hiked to the this location (all day hike) and was turned away. The hotel did find another available accommodation with a different property in another town and drove our party there - however would have to pay all over again, and none of the amenities important to us. The staff was not friendly and also could not communicate with Expedia. They ended up ensuring some kind...

"Very stylish small hotel with great breakfast (homemade marmalade was great). The owners are very friendly, helpful and a great source of local knowledge. Dinner was way better than expected - the locally sourced smoked trout was as good as I have had anywhere."
