I do not write a lot of reviews but when the situation warrants, I feel obliged to praise when praise is due. Fortune was mine for being able to squeeze a return trip to Berlin amid my late-summer voyage. Mittendrin was my home for a quick two-night stay in Berlin this past August. But I only had two days to explore this huge and important city. I had to run around all over the city, in my fool’s attempt to do it all. What a pleasure, at the end of the day, to go up the staircase and beyond thick walls, past the sturdy wooden doors into the rooms of the Mittendrin whenever making my return from a sightsseeing marathon. Hours of walking each day, nonstop reading and stopping, crossing canals and boulevards, up museum steps and across city parks. Imagine my delight at returning to my charming lemon refuge, a little like Van Gogh’s bedroom to be honest, to the comfy bed and the magic window that managed to offer soothing cool air while repelling city noise despite, yes, being in the center of it all. Places like the Mittenrin are the stuff of tales. It’s been over two months since my stay there in Berlin but the experience left an indelible mark. Sometime at night, when anxious feelings invade, and the need to dispel negative thoughts or stress delays sleep, I recall that beautiful little yellow room in my mind and peace and solace reign. Host was lovely even though I kept her up till late due to my delayed flight. She also had to get up early both days of my stay as I needed to get away early both days!

Super triveligt intimt hotell

Vi fant frem til mittendrin boutike hotell, very nice rooms,very kleen, fresh flowers and chocolade. When we shequed inn vi got served white vine. The other gest that we met at breakfast was very nice people, just like a big family.

Sehr gemütliches Boutique Hotel mit Topfrühstück

Wir waren für eine Wochenende I Berlin und habe es im mittendrin sehr genossen. Unser Zimmer Ware sehr geräumig und schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Auch das Bad war sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstück mit der Hausherrin war ein Genuss. Sie hat uns sogar kleine Tüten gegeben, damit wir uns ein paar Brötchen für die Reise mitnehmen können. Wir haben noch nie eine so aufmerksame Gastgeberin. Wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen, wenn wir das nächste Mal nach Berlin reisen.

This was a 6 star experience from start to finish ! Our hostess Sabine was so professional that you felt immediately “at home” and welcome . Our room was amazing and breakfast each morning was a culinary delight . Sabine and her establishment gets my highest recommendation will definitely return !!

die Unterkunft ist eine wunderschöne klassische Altbauwohnung in zentraler Lage. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr bemüht und verwöhnt die Gäste mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, das Frühstück braucht den Vergleich mit großen Hotels nicht zu scheuen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt und sehr gerne wieder!

Einfach perfekt!

The accommodations were amazing. Sabine is the best host ever. She knows the area very well and her place is very clean and comfortable. She went through a lot of effort for us and the breakfast that she prepares in the morning was out of this world. It felt like a 10 star resort. Unikt boutique-hotell!

Flott hotell og vertinne! Romma er store og fine. Vi bodde på det røde, romantiske rommet. Sabine, vertinnen, har mange gode tips om restauranter, shopping, kulturtilbud, severdigheter og aktiviteter i området. Hotellet ligger like ved KaDeWe, og er dermed et ypperlig utgangspunkt for shopping. Frokosten er utsøkt! For min del ble den ene frokosten ekstra spesiell, siden jeg hadde bursdag. Sabine serverte bursdagsfrokost med champagne, levende lys, sjokolade og blomster på bordet. Helt fantastisk! Tusen takk, Sabine!

Perfekt Übernachten in Berlin

Das Mittendrin in ein ausgesprochen liebenswerter Ort für ein paar entspannte Tage in einer hektischen Großstadt wie Berlin. Die liebevolle Einrichtung, der exzellente Service und eine äußerst charmante Gastgeberin lässt in einem sofort ein Gefühl auskommen, zu Hause zu sein. Great Boutique-hotel

We had a very comfortable stay at Mittendrin . Nice and clean rooms , great breakfast , hotel situated in the middle of Kudamm-shopping district with good restaurants nearby, close to U-bahn and buses . And of course and extra plus for the hostess Sabine , who took good care of us .

Etwas ganz Besonderes!

Anders als man es von anderen Hotels kennt, sind die Zimmer sehr gemütlich, sehr persönlich eingerichtet. Ganz besonders besticht dieses Hotel jedoch durch seine Besitzerin. Ihr Geist, ihre Gastlichkeit empfangen den Gast bereits bei der Ankunft und das zieht sich durch den gesamten Aufenthalt. Sabine Knoll geht individuell auf ihre Gäste ein und versteht es dennoch auch beim gemeinsamen Frühstück die anwesenden Gäste miteinander ins Gespräch zu bringen. Die guten Gespräche, als auch das beeindruckende Frühstück verleiten einen länger am Frühstückstisch zu sitzen, als zunächst geplant. Ich habe mich in den 3 Tagen meines Aufenthaltes sehr wohl gefühlt und neue Eindrücke gewonnen. Herzlichen Dank.
