Cozy in Berlin

Very clean room. Great breakfast. Great location. Not air conditioned so consider the time of year and outside temperature. I choose this hotel for the location, because my hotel of choice wasn't available. Easy walk to local dining and shopping. Few blocks from Nolendorf subway station.

Located in a convenient area. The room was an adequate size. Be aware that the hotel charges 20€ per night extra for a crib. They also charge 20€ per night for parking. Breakfast is 15€ per adult and 8€ children.

It is not as expected

The hotel does not look as on the pictures. The building is old and it needs renovation. The carpets are old and needs replacement. Especially halls seems not very clean. The hotel management is not very supportive. The heating is woring well. The garage is the advantage of the hotel.

My experience there was tainted because of an unprofessional and unfriendly clerk. Really, really bad experience. The building is run down, and the rooms are not well-kept. Some of the stains on the rug were really bad, the bathrooms smelled bad and the temperature of the water on the showers was impossible to regulate. I am sorry to provide a negative review but it was not worth the money - plus the advertisement in Expedia says that you pay what you see, but once I got there the city tax was added. If there is something positive, I can say that the breakfast (15 more euros) was ok, and the location too (but there were other cheaper and better hotels in this neighborhood too).

Excellent value for the price we paid

The hotel is located in a very nice area, with a supermarket on the first floor. I read some reviews about the carpet not being cleaned. And that is true, that carpet needs a cleaning ASAP. But I won't give this hotel 4 or 3 stars because, for the money I paid, I got a very fair value. And I am sure the management will take note of the carpet when they will read this review. However, since the hotel was not full, we got upgraded to a bigger room, with a couch on it, so I would like to thank the staff for that. We will return to that hotel when in Berlin.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, lumpy pillows. Very old and warn out carpet in the room. There was no outside access directly from the room as it seemed from the booking but it was at the end of the hall. To access the hotel at check in nobody responded to the bell and we got in only when a person left so the door was opened, then we waited about 5 minutes for someone to appear at the reception desk. It could have been a one off, but as a first impression, it wasn't great. The location is great, we didn't get the breakfast so can't comment on that.

The ad pictures are not the same as the room

The room that is shown in the picture is not the room that you will get. The room that you get won't be as clean looking or modern. The room that I stayed in was old and the carpet was dirty. So dirty that I had to wear slippers the whole time. The WiFi was good though and the bed was clean but I would not book this place again in the future.

Not too sure on this one.

Hmmm interesting place. Quick check in and earlier too which was great. Very thankful for that. But it's a very dated hotel, not like the balcony pic being advertised. Lots of 'modern' art to try mask how old it is and it just highlights it more than masks it. The queen bed is still just two singles pushed together and 2x single duvet covers. No kettle in the room? (Might just be a british thing?). Room on first floor, you can here the reception constantly. Even when people are not checking in, there are people talking loudly at reception all the time in the morning. Really annoying if you've had a late Berlin night and want a lie in. I would not pay the 18euro fkr breakfast, not worth it at all, plenty bear by. Dry scrambled eggs and cheap sausages, no fresh fruit and bad coffee. Great location though, would maybe stay again, not too sure. Would look for other stuff first.

Nice basic in Schöneberg

Very nice little old skool style hotel in peaceful city area pretty close by few U-bahn stations. Spacious room, friendly crew, Penny market shop same building corner and possibility to get early check-in & late check-out for some 10€€'s are all big plus. Fridge, tv, wifi & work desk in the room worked well but bed & shower needed upgrade.

The room smell like urine, there are people smoking pot in the stairway. The front desk lady had terrible breath and smell like VO. It was a hostel. It’s not a hotel unacceptable that they are presenting this as a room and a hotel we ended up staying somewhere else, they were charging us $300 a night

Rooms do not have AC. There were no fans, either. The room got really hot in night and it was hard to sleep. Also, it will help if they leave some sheets in rooms, either. The price was on par of US hotels, although the facilities and amenities were very inferior to states.
