Excellent hotel in an excellent location. A bit warm in the depths of winter - some like that but I found that we had to open the window to let the cold air in as the only way to get the right temperature

It was very quiet in the room - we hardly heard a peep out of the other guests and no traffic noise at all. Breakfast was nice, typical continental breakfast plus some hot food. It was busier on the weekend but the staff were always quick to replenish things and clear up tables. Good location, close to S-bahn station and only a couple of stops from major sights. We found the room to be a bit cold even with the heating on, but they let us borrow a plug-in heater for our stay which warmed us right up. Overall very nice stay.

Very good quality for the price. The location is ideal, close but not busy, all the public transport options close by. Only negative thing was the poor pillows.

Great hotel location

Rooms were clean and spacious. Quiet and comfortable. Great location, walking distance to most historical places yet out of the main tourist area so was quiet. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of choice at breakfast to set you up for the day.

Good hotel in city centre with parking underneath the hotel (pay extra but it's competitive and convenient). Great breakfast. Only issues were pillows, and a bit of a mess up when our third person in the room arrived the next day. BUT on the whole good.

Perfect area for marathon runners and family. Walked about 17 minutes south to view at half way point and then later walked about 17 minutes up north to Potsdam Plaza when runners were about 39 kilometers. Large healthy breakfast selection. Runners did have to walk a bit around runner route or take subway across route to get back after finish though but manageable. Lots of runners stayed at this hotel.

We stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn Express City Centre. It was the perfect base for activities all around Berlin. Easy to get to between two different subway lines. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The room was small but sufficient for three people (1 adult, 2 adult sized teens). The area was quiet. A excellent choice for exploring Berlin.
