"Convenient location but felt fully immersed in the countryside. A beautifully maintained country house hotel with a warm welcome from an attentive team. "The bedroom was really old, tired and dirty. It didn’t look as advertised, and I was disappointed. It was very dusty, particularly on lamps and surfaces. The wardrobe also didn’t open properly. The sheets on the bed were ripped at the side seams, and had stains on them. I phone several times in advance of booking to enquire about breakfast in the room, and everyone I spoke to was so unhelpful. "We had a wonderful stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a great selection. A special mention goes to Rachel at the bar, who was friendly, professional, and made our evenings enjoyable with her warm conversation. The lady at reception was also lovely and provided us with all the information we needed on arrival. All the staff were welcoming, attentive, and made us feel at home throughout our stay. "The grounds and the hotel were absolutely stunning! We were delighted with our bedroom suite. The hotel can boast an interesting history; on the wall in the restaurant is a wooden plaque, with a gilded list of previous head girls from 1937 when the hotel was run as a school. The beautiful stained glass windows on the staircase are evidence of the previous importance of the building. The hotel is well placed for activities in Warwick, and visits to Stratford on Avon, & Royal Leamington Spa. ...
