"Reception area was very grand, room was perfect for our needs. Ideally located for our concert at the Phoenix. Bars and restaurants in easy walking distance and the station right across the road. "

"Attended a wedding, food was amazing, staff very attentive, check in easy, it was so relaxing, what a lovely place, only one quibble i found the mattress uncomfortable so woudnt stay no more than a couple of nights, but the pillows where soft and comfy...Oh the tree Well done everyone!!!!"

"Beautiful hotel in an amazing location right in the centre and close to the cathedral. Exceptionally clean room witha lovely walk in shower. Will stay again for sure when we come next time to Exeter. Staff were lovely too. "

"I have been staying at the Moorland for over twenty five years and never disappointed. New owners are extremely helpful and food still excellent. Just need to tidy the place and carry out some decorating as the location is fantastic "

"We stayed in the garden suite. It was lovely. My only criticism would be that one of the legs on the futon in the living room area was broken. Our Daughter said the bed in the smaller bedroom wasn't very comfortable so we used spare duvets and a blanket to make it more comfortable. The small garden area was ideal for our dogs to be able to give them some space to toilet etc. The food in the pub was very nice, my only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian options. Overall we enjoyed our stay....

"Room only so didn’t try the restaurant but lovely public areas with beautiful floral decorations ready for Halloween. Didn’t try the leisure facilities there was an extra £10 charge which was disappointing. Staff extremely welcoming and happy to provide ideas for local eateries which are plentiful within 5 minute stroll of hotel. Beautiful city to explore "
