"We booked a 1 bed apartment to sleep 4. The room was all set up for arrival with sofa bed and single bed in the lounge and double bedroom. Plenty tea coffee and biscuits. The room was clean and in good condition. Kitchen space was a little basic if you wanted to cook a meal. We didn’t cook but I noticed we were missing a sponge to be able to wash up the mugs we used (nothing major) and there looked to be an electric stove thing in the draw if you wanted to cook in the pans provided. The fridge was a decent size for a hotel. We ate in the restaurant one night and were pretty disappointed in the food especially for the price so opted to eat elsewhere the following nights of our stay. Breakfast was fine and something for everyone. Cereals, fruit, yoghurts, typical English fry up to help yourself to. There were vegetarian options on request too. It did feel like they had skeletal staff on in the restaurant and at breakfast. But the ladies working there were all really helpful with anything we needed and worked none stop. "

"Staying in the gatekeepers cottage, nicely decorated, clean, and beautifully situated by a stream. Would recommend this option if you're planning to stay this way."

"What a great stay we had here, we have been coming to Barmouth for many years and for a long break usually have a caravan out of the town but as we were only here for a few days chose a hotel in the town, perfevt location, easy check in, was able to park the car which was great room was perfect and the view was amazing and in walking distance of the town and close to everything we needed for the few days. Thank you for the best stay. "

"Beach view. Big bed and separate room for the kids. Clean. A little tired in places but very clean. "

"The Tilman was not a bad place to stay, it was clean; staff friendly; breakfast was okay but limited if you only like cereals. The menu for evening meal was disappointing, as it was a variation of different burgers and was a bit over priced. There are plenty of eateries within walking distance of The Tilman. If we do go back I would avoid going before Easter as most shops where closed."

"Was perfect for our needs. Loads of space. Added bonus of a sauna in the apartment helped after a a day riding trails at Dyfi bike park, which is only 10 minutes away. Will use again"
